                 Far West Convention Fall Convention

Registration is now open.
Registration closes on Sunday, October 27th at 5:00pm.
A $20 late fee is added after this time.

Registration is a two step process: 
1. Fill out the Far West Fall Convention Web Form by Clicking Here.
2. At the end of completing the webform there will be a payment link to pay via Far West Paypal. There are three payment options in the cart: Club Excellence Only ($25), Officials Education Only ($25), Club Excellence and Officials Education ($40). Please choose accordingly from the drop down menu and add to your cart. 

Lodging:
Discounted lodging is available by phoning The Village at Squaw Valley at (866)818-6963 and reference the Far West Fall Convention for these rates or you can make your reservation online by clicking here.
Discounted Nightly Rates range from $139 - $199. Any reservations over a Saturday require a two night minimum. All rooms require a $29 Resort Fee and tax, no discounts on Studios and Standard Room Types.

Far West will be moving to US Ski and Snowboar event online registration this season. Find out how to utilize the system, plus sign up as a coach attending an event, which will be required in order to present you club on hill.

Stop The Bleed Info and Training U.S. Ski & Snowboard:  14:30 - 15:30 Bar One  

Rapid developments in ski technology and tuning techniques have led to an increase in life-threatening lacerations to young ski racers around the world. On March 24, 2018, Jonathan Davis nearly bled to death from such an injury. This training will equip coaches and volunteers with a Stop the Bleed Kit, compliments of the Kelly Brush Foundation, and provide training on use of the kits.

Whole  Athlete Development: Sport, School, Social U.S. Ski & Snowboard: Julie Glusker 15:30 - 16:30 Bar One  

This workshop will explore the importance and value of caring for developing athletes beyond slope and across sport, school, and social as a way to help athletes build solid character and a positive culture. During this interactive presentation with questions, peer-peer sharing, and plan drafting, attendees will learn and share best practices on athelte care, characater competency, and positive club culture. We will use teh USOPC Quality Coachign Framerwork as a reference.
